Uninstallation

You can easily uninstall any GENtools product by using our installer. Simply run the uninstaller and select which tools you want to uninstall. If you have installed the tools on multiple version of a software, it will uninstall all of them.
If you cannot locate the tool in the uninstaller list, please look at the specific product documentation for more information.

Step-by-Step Instructions #

Launch the GENtools Uninstaller from the Windows Start menu.
Select which tools you want to uninstall in the list.
Press Yes to confirm you want to proceed with the uninstallation.
If a running application is preventing the uninstaller to delete files, you will be asked to close the application temporarily to continue.
Wait while the uninstallation is in progress.
After the uninstallation is done, you can close the uninstaller. For full uninstallation, it will delete itself on close.

Uninstallation Failure #

If you encountered an error during the uninstallation and the uninstallation failed, you can try to run the uninstaller with administrator rights and see if it uninstall successfully. If it still fails, you may contact us so we can help you with the issue.

Tool missing in Uninstaller #

If you cannot locate a tool in the uninstaller list, the installation might be incomplete.
Try to re-install the tool with the installer and then try to uninstall again.

Uninstaller missing from Start menu #

If you cannot locate the GENtools Uninstaller in your Windows Start menu, you can verify in your personal Maya application directory. (Default path below)

%userprofile%\Documents\maya
