Curve To Polygons
#
Select at least one NURBS curve.
Run the
Curve To Polygons
function.
Adjust the
parameters
as desired from the channel box or the attribute editor.
If you edit your curve shape, add or remove control vertex, or rebuild the curve, the geometry of the curve will automatically update as long as your have not deleted the history of the curve or geometry.
Basic UV mapping is automatically created along the polygon geometry.
Extrude Curve
#
Select at least one NURBS curve.
Run the
Extrude
function.
Move the position of the new control vertex as you wish.
The control vertex is always added at the end of the curve so if you want to extrude from the beginning, you need to reverse the curve with the
Reverse Curve
function.
When your move manipulator is in object mode, the manipulator will be oriented to normal of the curve.
Deleting a control vertex automatically selects the previous vertex allowing to delete multiple vertex in chain.
Create Curve From Pipe / Rebuild Pipe
#
Select at least one pipe / tube mesh.
Run the
Create Curve From Pipe
function.
If needed, rebuild the curve with the number of spans that you wish.
Rebuild Pipe
also works the same way but it will create both a curve and a new geometry for the pipe.
To work properly, the geometry has to be composed of a uniform number of vertex in each loop.
