The Mesh submenu contains tools for managing polygon meshes.

Cleanup #

The Cleanup submenu contains tools for cleaning up your scene and meshes.

Clean Empty Groups #

Cleans up all the empty groups in the selection or in the entire scene.

  • Search Scope: Set the search scope to Selection or to the Whole scene.
  • Recursive: Also delete groups that only contains empty groups.
Clean Custom Attributes #

Cleans up all the custom attributes in the selection or in the entire scene.

Clean Intermediate Shapes #

Cleans up all the intermediate shapes in the selection or in the entire scene.

Remove All Namespaces #

Removes all the namespaces from the scene.

Clean Booleans #

The Clean Booleans are improved version of Maya’s native Mesh  Booleans. Unlike the native version, these boolean operations not leave traces behind like empty groups. Also, your object will keep the transformations and the parent of the first object in the selection list.

Mirror #

Mirrors the selected objects along the world axis. Works well as hotkeys.

  • Mirror Axis Position: Specifies the plane of symmetry on which to mirror the selected polygon object.
  • Border: Specifies how to handle joining mirrored components to the original polygon mesh.
  • Merge Threshold: Specifies the method in which vertices are merged when Border is set to Merge border vertices.
  • Smoothing Angle: Edges on the line of symmetry between the original and copy whose bordering faces form an angle less than or equal to the Smoothing Angle are softened. Otherwise they are left hard.
  • Flip UVs: Flips the UV copy or selected object’s UV shell, depending on the current Geometry Type, in the specified Direction.
